BYU tuition will increase - Church News

A $50 tuition increase has been approved by BYU's Board of Trustees.

The increase, which will become effective for the 1990-91 school year, raises undergraduate tuition to $950 per semester.Tuition for graduate students will also increase. Law School and School of Management students will pay $1,790 a semester, a $100 increase. Other graduate students will pay $1,110 a semester, or a $60 increase.

Despite the tuition increase, BYU is still one of the best buys nationally in private higher education, said Administrative Vice Pres. Dee F. Andersen.

According to the 1987 College Board Annual Survey of Colleges, BYU ranks in the lowest 3.5 percent of 1,200 private universities in terms of tuition.
