Sam Asghari shares a statement post-split with Britney Spears: We will hold onto the love
After Britney Spears and Sam Asghari’s divorce did the rounds, Asghari has finally broken his silence. On Thursday, he shared his official statement where he opened up about the split.Sam Asghari took to his social media handle to share a statement after splitting with Britney Spears. On his Instagram story, he wrote, “After 6 years of love and commitment to each other my wife and I have decided to end our journey together.”
He added, “We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other and I wish her the best always.”
He also called for everyone including the media to be “kind and thoughtful.”
Sam Asghari, 29, tied the knot with Britney Spears, 41, in June 2022. As per reports, Asghari filed for divorce and claimed that Spears cheated on him with a staff member. The two had been in a relationship for years before their marriage.
So far, Britney Spears has not responded to the news of the divorce.
